I am a Mother.
I am completely heartbroken.
Sometimes I feel like my family and I are in a glass bubble and the tragedies all around us could shatter us at any moment.
While I sit in this bubble stressing because my kids’ chores remain undone, people in our seventh degree are dying senseless deaths.
Many people close to me are fighting deadly diseases.
While I sit in this bubble and stress about something as simple as possibly being diabetic,
Some moms are selling their kids toys for a pack of cigarettes or thier next hit.
God has a plan for us all. Whether we choose to follow that plan is our own free will.
We have children killing each other and parents killing their children. Children who think they are entitled to the cell phone that was taken away last week.
We’ve transitioned from a time of respect for our fellow humans to a mine, mine, mine world.
Let’s take a moment today and everyday to bring back a little human kindness. Do something for someone they can’t possibly repay. Pay something forward for the sake of mankind. Do it in memory of a victim of a senseless act. Do it in memory of a loved one taken too soon by an illness. Do it just to show respect and appreciation for your elderly neighbor up the street. Find any reason to celebrate life today and celebrate with a good deed or two.
Don’t just take on this challenge today but everyday!
